  • it’s the little things…

I'm a bit goofy and always ready to have a good time - I love making clients laugh...it just so happens it's usually at me and some random thing I am doing to get "the shot" - If it's nice outside, I guarantee I will be found sitting in a patch of sunlight soaking in the rays - I tend to miss speak right when I am trying to be sassy, ... so I just end up sounding silly - I love all the noises a new baby makes be it cute or gross - My socks never match and I am proud of it - I avoid cleaning the bathroom like it's the plague. It comes from growing up with two brothers and always being on bathroom duty - I found out the hard way that garlic does NOT compliment everything... and now my husband doesn't let me in the kitchen unsupervised - I still get giddy and jittery before every wedding I photograph - I once thought the biggest gift of being self employed was making my own hours, now I know it's the luxury it gives me to raise my son (born April 2011) without the need of daycare - I love riding my bike, but don't have the constitution to make myself work out regularly - I believe that following your dream is not the easiest path but is definitely the most rewarding one. My dreams since I was 18 was to find the man of my dreams (check), raise a family (check) and create images for a living (check) - oh... and if you want to make me laugh, tell me a poop joke. Works EVERY time.

Married | Skansonia Ferry Boat | Hillary + Mark

Hill and Mark are the type of couple that once you’ve spent time with, you can’t get enough of.They can make any boring day into a lot of fun with their amazing ability  to laugh and joke. Their wedding was an affair to remember on a blustery Seattle fall day. They picked the Skansonia for their wedding, an old retired ferry, docked in Lake Union with a beautiful view of downtown Seattle. With twinkly lights above, and a slight sway to the boat, their favorite people seated around smiled as Hillary walked down the aisle in the arms her two brothers to meet Mark and start this new life together.

The night was filled with dancing, drinks, laughter and excitement. Congrats to you both, and I just have to say…. cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeeeee!

Family Portraits | Arboretum | The G Family

I met up with Jen, Kevin and little Alexandria last weekend on a crisp Saturday morning to explore the Arboretum and do some playing. I love fall for so many reasons. The amazing colors we are surrounded with, which, for a girl who grew up in the desert where all you see is 21 different shades of green/brown all year long, is a major part, but the other part has a lot to do with the amount of playing in the park I get to do with my clients and their kids. After a long summer of photographing weddings, playing in the leaves and finding silly things to laugh about is so refreshing.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Becca

The H family | Greenlake | Fall Portraits

I had the pleasure to meet the H family the other week and spend time throwing leaves and watching adorable twins MacKenzie and Cole play at Greenlake. These two are all over the place with their climbing and adventuring that their parents are sure to be running after them for years to come! I love photographing twins as no other siblings have quite the connection even at the tender age of a year and a half.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Becca

Portraits | Seattle | The A Family

I met up with the A family last week in West Seattle on what I think was the last beautiful fall day we are probably going to see. Hanging out in the fall sunshine while I photographed little Penelope and Pheobe was just what I love to do on fall days like that!

Enjoy:)
