Check out this $4000 designer wedding dress up for auction!

So, you all know that Get Hitched Give Hope is right around the corner. Have you bought your tickets yet?
Well there is another reason to be excited about GHGH this year! The fabulous Jacky Grotle of NW Event Success is auctioning off a $4000 designer wedding dress to benefit the Making Memories Foundation through Get Hitched Give Hope!

The auction starts this weekend on 10.10.10 and will go through 10.15.10 with the highest bidder winning ! You could walk away from this lightly used, beautiful gown for such a steal of a deal.

Bump! | Seattle | Angie, Jake and Pilot

Angie and Jake decided to participate in Get Hitched Give Hope’s photographer “Be a {photo} giver challenge”

If you read my blog regularly, you know what GHGH is, and hopefully, if you are getting married in 2011, you will be coming to our event on October 28th, 2010 to get gorgeous goods for your wedding while giving back!

Well, GHGH is so popular that photographers near and far have wanted to participate, but seeing that we only allow 3 photographers to donate services in the auction  (just like every category in the event), we have to turn to more creative ways in letting giving photographers help!

We started the Be A {photo} giver challenge where in the month of September, donate $100 of  portrait sessions to GHGH and you can be a giver too.

So, this is what Angie, Jake and Pilot signed up for. $100 of their session fee is going directly to help grant wishes for women with stage four breast cancer. These wishes bring happiness to women and men who the cure won’t come soon enough.

So, thanks guys for being so amazing! Now there story…

Pilot is due any day now… and no, that isn’t the babies name. It’s just the nickname that sounds oh so much better than he/she/it as Jake and Angie  aren’t finding out the sex of their baby until he or she arrives. And they aren’t going to choose from their 10 or so names until they meet the little one either. So, for the rest of the month (or less if Angie is right), the baby is Pilot.

And I think it is such a cute nickname… that it will probably stick.

Angie is due very soon, and she is ready. Ready to meet her little one, and ready to not have someone standing on her bladder 24 hours a day anymore! And, I can’t wait to meet Pilot either!

Get Hitched Give Hope Media Launch Party

Yep… Get Hitched Give Hope is right around the corner (WHAT??) on October 28th!

Well, in prep for that, we had a fabulous media launch party in August for all our amazing vendors who are giving their time, talent and services to our event.  The Seattle wedding community is really one amazing and giving community, and I can’t say how proud I am to be a part of it!

Here are some fun shots from the media party! If you were a participant there, and are interested in getting pictures, I do have them for sale here, and 30% of the total goes back to Get Hitched Give Hope!

The media launch party was hosted at the Arctic Club hotel, where our last two GHGH events have taken place. We were in the amazing dome room. That room always takes my breath away!

This year, for the main event, we have moved on to a larger space (for more fabulous givers to come!) at the downtown Four Seasons Hotel.

Get Hitched Give Hope {Be a photo giver} – Photo shoots for charity!

Attention all photographers. If you are in Seattle, and been paying attention to many noteworthy Seattle wedding industry bloggers out there recently, you will have heard about Get Hitched Give Hope already! If not, check out my post from earlier all about it here.

If you have heard about us and you are a photographer yourself, we have a September fundraiser for photographers!

If you are interested in having a {photo giver} shoot with yours truly I will be holding up 10 {photo giver} shoots this month! So call today, it can be any type of shoot, from a bump to a belly, an engagement shoot, and just because shoot, or whatever you want!

Call today to put you on the books and lets make some money for an amazing cause!

We have had an overwhelming response from photographers far and wide asking how they can be involved with Get Hitched Give Hope! SO, thanks to a certain someone (you know who you are!) we’ve come up with our September fundraiser made specially for YOU!!

Here’s how it works ::

1) Book a “Be A {photo} Giver” engagement, belly, baby, family, boudoir, pet, or lifestyle session (or two or three!)  {In the month of September.}

2) Donate $100 from that session to Get Hitched Give Hope (either by mailing a check to PO Box 17406, Seattle, WA 98127, or by donating online http://www.gethitchedgivehope.com/the-event/be-a-giver/ )

3) Email 2-3 images & sentence or two about you/yourshoot  to hello@gethitchedgivehope.com  (don’t forget to include a link to your blog post!)

4) Be ready for some blog/facebook/twittering love from us!!

{rules:: photo sessions must take place in the month of September, images submitted must be tasteful}

Voilà! You’re a Photo Giver!!

It takes an average of only $4,000 to grant a wish for one family who has been given a terminal breast cancer diagnosis. Let’s grant TEN!!!

Get Hitched Give Hope is NEXT MONTH!

Um wow… Where exactly did my year go? I remember just being excited about all the fabulous couples I had this year and how much fun shooting their day was going to be… and now most of their weddings are done and over, my computer is 100s of gigs fuller of images, and my favorite party is only a MONTH AWAY!

What!?!?!?!?!

So, many of you that follow my shenanigans on this here blog, have probably seen me mention Get Hitched Give Hope more than once! For those newbies out there, lets recap. Get Hitched Give Hope is an amazingly swanky party that am ever prouder to say I am a part of that happens this October 28th at the Four Season’s Hotel downtown Seattle.

Not only is it an amazing party, and a reason to buy new shoes (like I need a reason anyway, but you know…), it is an amazing way for you bride-to-bes out there to get a fabulous deal on all things wedding, while giving back to your community.

That’s right. We don’t just get together and party just cuz …well, that’s a lie. We do that too… but this time, we get together to pool the resources and services of the Seattle Wedding community and auction off all the amazing things you would need to put together your own fabulous party / wedding at an amazing price.

Not only do you get a fabulous price, you get to go home knowing that your amazing donations go to the Making Memories Foundation which grant wishes for men and women with stage four breast cancer. Your donation makes it possible for families to go on trips, have new experiences, make life better  before their loved ones pass! This organization ROCKS! This is our third year putting on this amazing event, and have raised $67,000 to date. This year, we plan on raising $50,000!
