it’s the little things…

I'm a bit goofy and always ready to have a good time - I love making clients laugh...it just so happens it's usually at me and some random thing I am doing to get "the shot" - If it's nice outside, I guarantee I will be found sitting in a patch of sunlight soaking in the rays - I tend to miss speak right when I am trying to be sassy, ... so I just end up sounding silly - I love all the noises a new baby makes be it cute or gross - My socks never match and I am proud of it - I avoid cleaning the bathroom like it's the plague. It comes from growing up with two brothers and always being on bathroom duty - I found out the hard way that garlic does NOT compliment everything... and now my husband doesn't let me in the kitchen unsupervised - I still get giddy and jittery before every wedding I photograph - I once thought the biggest gift of being self employed was making my own hours, now I know it's the luxury it gives me to raise my son (born April 2011) without the need of daycare - I love riding my bike, but don't have the constitution to make myself work out regularly - I believe that following your dream is not the easiest path but is definitely the most rewarding one. My dreams since I was 18 was to find the man of my dreams (check), raise a family (check) and create images for a living (check) - oh... and if you want to make me laugh, tell me a poop joke. Works EVERY time.

Yellowstone! A summer vacation !?!

Summer is my busy time of year. Like BUSY BUSY. The idea of a vacation during summer is not one that usually gets thrown around in my house. But this year, I am getting one. I was originally planning on doing the Seattle to Portland bike ride this year, but I ended up trying to register too late to do it. (But super duper good luck to all my friends who are doing it this weekend!). So, I had a summer weekend with no wedding and no bike ride. Weird!

So, summer vacation it is! Me, Pete, Caleb (brother and roommate) and Karine (brothers girlfriend and roommate) are heading to Yellowstone tonight! I am super duper excited as I haven’t been to Yellowstone yet, and because I get to spend 5 days with 3 of my all time favorite people…WHILE IT IS WARM OUTSIDE!!!!!! It’s going to be epic and I can’t wait to get on the road!

So, dear clients and blog readers, what does this mean to you? It means that I am going to be off the grid *yikes!* from when I hit post on this blog entry until Tuesday July 20th. I will be in my office again sometime on Tuesday, so if you have any needs from me, that is when to call. To be honest it will probably be Tuesday afternoon

I will have my phone on me if any emergancy comes up with any of my weddings, but please only call if you absolutely have to.

And, dear blog readers, that means I am going to have lots of rad new images to post once I get back! I might even have a video or two as I just recently got a Flip Camera. It also might be video as I have been told that I am not allowed to take my camera on any hikes because I take too long.Gotta love family!
